Frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between proactive and reactive risk management?
Arrow

Proactive risk management looks forward. It identifies, assesses and controls psychosocial risks before harm occurs, focusing on causes and conditions such as workflow, leadership behaviour and systems. Reactive risk management looks backward, responding after incidents, complaints or disengagement have already surfaced. Most conventional tools including engagement surveys, psychosocial surveys and psychological safety programs are reactive by nature. EnableOrg® is built specifically around the proactive model, preventing harm before it becomes a problem.

Is EnableOrg® just another survey platform?
Arrow

EnableOrg® uses scientifically validated surveys as one part of a broader system, but it goes well beyond measurement. Validated surveys accurately capture psychological data on engagement, psychosocial risks and wellbeing. What makes EnableOrg® different is what happens with that data. Rather than reporting on how things are, the platform uses results to drive proactive risk controls, action plans and preventive interventions so harm is addressed at the source, not just observed and documented.

What makes a survey scientifically validated, and why does it matter?
Arrow

A validated survey is a measurement instrument that has been systematically tested to confirm it reliably and accurately measures what it claims to measure. This requires psychometric analysis and statistical verification. Without validation, organisations may think they are measuring stress, engagement or psychosocial risk but are actually capturing unreliable or misleading data. EnableOrg® uses validated surveys throughout the platform, ensuring every insight is grounded in sound psychological science rather than in-house or consultant-developed tools.

What are the psychosocial compliance requirements organisations need to meet?
Arrow

Under WHS legislation in Australia and New Zealand, organisations have a duty to manage psychosocial hazards in the workplace. This includes identifying hazards such as high job demands, poor role clarity, low support and bullying, assessing associated risks and implementing controls to eliminate or minimise harm where reasonably practicable. The highest level of compliance requires a proactive, evidence-based approach to risk elimination rather than simply surveying outcomes after harm has occurred. EnableOrg® is the only platform purpose-built to meet this standard, designed by WHS Lead Auditors in combination with organisational psychology expertise.

How is EnableOrg® different from standard engagement survey tools?
Arrow

Engagement surveys measure how disengaged people already are. They tell you the symptom, not the cause. EnableOrg® works at the level of root causes, identifying the psychosocial conditions that drive disengagement, burnout and poor culture before they take hold. The platform integrates engagement, wellbeing, psychosocial compliance and leadership development into one coherent system, so organisations are not just diagnosing problems but actively preventing them and building a healthier, more sustainable workplace.

Can EnableOrg® be customised for our organisation?
Arrow

Yes. EnableOrg® can be customised to include additional surveys, integrate with your employee database and support single sign-on. Each customisation is scoped individually and additional costs and timelines apply. Contact our team to discuss your specific requirements.

Does EnableOrg® use AI?
Arrow

EnableOrg® uses AI selectively in its leadership development module only. We have made a deliberate decision not to apply AI across the broader platform. Psychosocial risk management and WHS compliance require expert human judgement and do not follow the predictable patterns AI relies on to be effective. Our platform is built on integrated expertise across risk management, organisational psychology and compliance and that depth of human-led design is what makes it defensible, accurate and genuinely preventive.

Is a platform like this expensive compared to other approaches?
Arrow

EnableOrg® is significantly more cost effective than ongoing manual processes, one-off consulting engagements or fragmented point solutions. It reduces costs associated with disengagement, psychosocial incidents, stress claims, turnover and rework by addressing root causes early. One integrated platform scales across locations and years, eliminating the need to repeatedly commission external consultants whose outputs often vary in quality and consistency. The return on investment comes from harm that does not occur, claims that are not filed and people who stay and perform.

How does psychosocial risk relate to physical safety?
Arrow

The link between psychosocial risk and physical safety incidents is well established. Research indicates that 70 to 80 percent of workplace accidents are linked to psychological factors, that employees experiencing high stress are 50 percent more likely to have a workplace accident, and that workers with mental health challenges are three times more likely to be involved in an incident. Managing psychosocial risk is not separate from physical safety — it is foundational to it. EnableOrg® addresses both by building the healthy culture conditions that reduce harm across the full spectrum of workplace risk.

How long does implementation take?
Arrow

Most organisations are up and running within a few weeks. Our team works with you through onboarding to configure the platform to your specific context, compliance requirements and organisational goals. Timeline may vary depending on the size and complexity of your organisation and the level of customisation required.
